Red Star awarded funding from Innovate UK and the Chief Scientist’s Office to use AI to improve the detection, diagnosis and auditing of heart failure treatment

We’re thrilled to announce that Red Star has been awarded funding from Innovate UK and the Chief Scientist’s Office to explore how AI can improve the early detection, diagnosis, and auditing of heart failure treatment. This collaboration aims to transform the way heart failure is diagnosed and treated, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

Heart failure is a condition that affects millions of people worldwide and can lead to a range of health complications. Early detection and effective treatment are crucial in managing the disease and reducing the risk of complications.

Auditing the impact of heart failure standards of treatment on clinical and cost outcomes is an important aspect of managing the disease. Currently, auditing is often performed manually and can be time-consuming and costly. Healthcare professionals use various measures, such as hospital readmissions and mortality rates, to evaluate the effectiveness of heart failure treatment. However, manual auditing can be prone to errors and inconsistencies, and it may not capture all relevant data.

By leveraging AI, we hope to streamline the auditing process, improve the accuracy of data collection, and provide healthcare professionals with more comprehensive insights into the impact of heart failure standards of treatment on clinical and cost outcomes.
